Although this provides convenience and advantages for both individuals and service providers, it also increases the risk of data misuse. Therefore, establishing a strong <strong data-start=\"759\" data-end=\"814\">legal framework for the protection of personal data<\/strong> has become essential, as the protection of personal data is fundamentally the protection of human personality and dignity.<\/p><p data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"1276\">The right to the protection of personal data is a <strong data-start=\"989\" data-end=\"1031\">special aspect of the right to privacy<\/strong>, ensuring that an individual\u2019s honor, dignity, and freedom of personality development are safeguarded during the processing of personal data. It aims to protect fundamental rights and freedoms in all stages of data collection, storage, and use.<\/p><p data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1628\">Following the <strong data-start=\"1292\" data-end=\"1352\">2010 amendment to Article 20 of the Turkish Constitution<\/strong>, the protection of personal data was granted <strong data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1426\">constitutional assurance<\/strong>, and the procedures and principles regarding data protection were to be regulated by law.
