Tank Inspection

Tanks or vessels—fixed or mobile—designed or manufactured to operate with gases, steam, or liquids under an effective pressure greater than 0.5 bar are classified as “Pressure Equipment.”

Testing and inspection of pressure equipment must be performed:

• Immediately after manufacturing is completed,
• Before commissioning following installation,
• After any modifications or major repairs,
• Before returning to service after being out of operation for three months or longer,
• And, as required by the Regulation on Health and Safety Requirements for the Use of Work Equipment, at least once a year as part of mandatory periodic inspections.

Air tank inspections are carried out in accordance with the criteria specified in:

• TS 1203 EN 286-1
• TS EN 1012-1:2010
• TS EN 13445-5
