Overview:
The ISO 22000 Lead Auditor Training is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to audit, evaluate, and improve Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) in accordance with the ISO 22000:2005 international standard.

ISO 22000:2005 – Food Safety Management Systems – Requirements for organizations across the food chain – defines the fundamental requirements for a food safety system covering every stage of the food supply chain, from “farm to fork.”
Organizations applying these requirements and successfully completing certification audits receive the ISO 22000 (HACCP) Certificate.

Methodologically similar to other ISO standards, ISO 22000 is implemented using the Deming PDCA Cycle, and its documentation & record control processes align with those of ISO 9001.

Why ISO 22000?

Global demand for safe food continues to rise, leading to the development of numerous food safety standards.
The increase in national standards has caused confusion, emphasizing the need for international harmonization—a need ISO 22000:2005 meets.

The standard integrates globally accepted key elements:

  • Interactive communication
  • System management
  • Prerequisite Programs (PRPs)
  • HACCP planning
  • Continuous improvement and system updating

ISO 22000 goes beyond basic legal requirements, offering a comprehensive framework for companies seeking higher food safety performance.

Who Needs ISO 22000 Certification?

ISO 22000 applies to all organizations within the food chain, including:

  • Food producers and processors
  • Catering and food service companies
  • Packaging and packaging material manufacturers
  • Cleaning product and additive suppliers
  • Equipment manufacturers

It also aligns with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 structures, making it ideal for organizations wanting to integrate their quality and food safety systems.
