Why Should PPE Be Inspected?
Personal Fall Protection Equipment (PPE) must be inspected by a qualified expert at least once a year, after any significant stress or incident, or whenever there is doubt about its safe condition. The expert determines whether the equipment is functioning properly and whether it has reached the maturity level defined by professional regulations.

The inspection process follows the principles set by DGUV Regulation 312-906 (Germany’s legal accident insurance) and the manufacturer’s specifications. The readability of the product label must also be verified. Inspections must always be performed and documented according to manufacturer requirements.

In addition to standard inspections, North Academy conducts on-site evaluations of existing systems and equipment used in high, confined, and open work areas — including inspection, assessment, marking, reporting, and the implementation of best practice systems.

North Academy is authorized to carry out inspection, servicing, maintenance, and manufacturer-approved repairs of SKYLOTEC-branded equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and full compliance with international standards.
